The network fee is charged by the blockchain to confirm and complete your transaction. Every cryptocurrency transaction is recorded on the network, where each transaction is processed and verified in a single, agreed-upon record distributed across multiple network nodes. We can think of it as the ledger where each transaction is recorded.

When a transaction is included in a block in the chain, it receives one confirmation; when it's included in the next block, it receives two confirmations, and so on, up to six confirmations, when the BTC receipt becomes available in your Ripio account. This is followed by up to 30 confirmations for ETH.

👉 **Network Commission:**

It is applied when sending cryptocurrencies and is required for the transaction to be confirmed on the network. Your transaction fee will be assigned a medium priority by default, as this amount is the incentive miners receive to validate transactions. The platform will automatically calculate the transaction size and assign the necessary fee for validation.

The average commission varies according to the size of the transaction, which does not refer to the amount of the crypto that you send, but to how many entrances and exits integrate that transaction. It also varies according to the saturation of the network; That is, how many transactions are there to validate. Therefore, the average commissions vary constantly. To see the average cost at a certain time, enter these sites:

- Red Bitcoin: [Ycharts: BTC Avg, Fee](https://ycharts.com/indicators/bitcoin_average_transaction_fee)
- Red Ethereum: [Ether Scan - Gas tracker](https://etherscan.io/gastracker)

To change the priority of a Operation, below the field where you enter the amount you want to send, you can choose the highest, average, or lowest commission. This will determine the actual delivery times.

On the other hand, keep in mind that to complete the transaction, you must have the necessary amount of crypto to cover not only the amount sent but also the network fee. It's possible, in fact, that the fee required for high priority could be even higher than the amount you're sending.

Finally, although the platform automatically calculates the transaction size and assigns the necessary fee for validation, Ripio does not collect this fee. It is directly paid to miners for confirming the transaction.
